Frequently asked questions

How will I receive a receipt for tax purposes?

During our end-of-year appeal, all tax-deductible donations will be handled through Monterey County Gives! and are subject to their terms of service.

All other times: You will receive an email receipt—for your taxes—from either Givebutter.com or PayPal (whichever you used) immediately after making your contribution online. The Alternative Newsweekly Foundation can also send receipts upon request. Checks mailed to the ANF will receive a letter from the Foundation.
